New Illustration for Newsweek Magazine

This was for Newsweek magazine’s “Two Numbers” column where they either compare two numbers or just talk about two different numbers. In this one it was all about the exciting, way too long awaited, opening of the National Museum of African American History and Culture. The first number is 101, the years since black Civil War veterans first called for a national space to celebrate African Americans. The other number 34,000 is the amount of items you’ll be able to see in the museum. Not sure about you but I really would love to visit this museum. Thanks again for the good people at Newsweek. Always great to work with.

Here is a fun illustration for Backpacker magazine’s Pass/Fail column. This one is about hammock camping and how it didn’t work out for one person.

The Extrodinary Future Of Shopping: Your map to better shopping for consumers and brick-and-mortar retailers. Here is a piece I did for Marketing magazine about different technology retailers are using to make shoppers experience more efficient, interactive, and enjoyable.

Selected for American Illustration 35 annual book

This image that I did for Portland Monthly magazine, under the guidance of the fantastic art direction of Michael Novak, was selected to appear in American Illustration’s annual book that they publish each year. This was a really fun project with Portland Monthly for their 2015 summer guide about the Portland Pride parade. I had such a fun time working on this. This was a fun illustration I did for an article about Tattoo removal and how scary it can be. Apparently it’s even more painful then getting a tattoo in the first place. That’s why I always say, if you have a tattoo you don’t like, then cover it up with a new tattoo whenever possible.

Here is the latest for the health industry in Alberta’s magazine called Apple. I must say that I’ve really enjoyed working with the great folks over there. Always a pleasure. This illustration was about being able to handle all the curve balls that life sends your way.

New Illustration for The Walrus

Well it’s not exactly new. However this is a timely piece as the city of Edmonton has voted to make Uber legal. This illustration was done for the September issue of The Walrus about the battle between Uber and the Taxi industry in Toronto.
